Volunteer Organizer
The Volunteer Organizer helps build a strong, connected volunteer community that supports the Amazing Kids Foundation’s programs, fundraisers, and events. This role focuses on bringing people together, matching volunteers with meaningful opportunities, and ensuring everyone feels supported and appreciated.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing people, building relationships, and creating positive community experiences.

Key responsibilities include:

Recruiting and welcoming volunteers from across the Sea to Sky Corridor

Creating a positive, inclusive volunteer culture aligned with the Foundation’s mission

Keeping an up-to-date list of volunteers and their interests or skills

Matching volunteers to roles that fit their strengths and availability

Ensuring volunteers feel prepared and supported during events and activities

Fundraising & event support:

Helping coordinate volunteers for fundraising events (approximately two per year)

Supporting volunteer scheduling and on-the-day coordination

Being involved in the Foundation’s signature event as it develops (Skijoring in the Sea to Sky)

Community & growth support:

Exploring new ways for volunteers to get involved

Strengthening relationships with local groups and community partners

Gathering feedback to improve the volunteer experience over time

As the Foundation grows, this role may also:

Help develop simple volunteer orientation or training resources

Support volunteer recognition and appreciation efforts
-
Explore youth volunteer opportunities and digital tools for coordination

Skills & experience (helpful, not required to check every box):

Experience with volunteering, events, or community engagement

Strong people and organizational skills

A collaborative, inclusive approach

Comfortable juggling a few moving parts as needs evolve

Time & commitment:

Volunteer role with flexible hours
-
Estimated 2–5 hours per month

Participation in fundraisers and the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Term:

Two-year term, with the option to renew
